On Friday, October 16th, Outlets of Little Rock celebrated the grand opening of Arkansas’ first outlet center and newest addition to Boston-based New England Development’s retail portfolio. In support of this milestone day, the BG team traveled to Little Rock to support the marketing team and the many events planned for grand opening weekend.
The weather was cool and crisp at the Outlets of Little Rock, as the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony commenced the official start of shopping for Little Rock residents and visitors from across the region. Carson Kressley, Emmy winner and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star, emceed a Looks for Less fashion show on Saturday and thrilled attendees with his man on the street candor. Plus, kids enjoyed the festivities with their favorite superheroes and princesses during Sunday’s Family Day.
The night prior to opening, Outlets of Little Rock hosted Open Doors Open Hearts, a charity fundraiser event donating 100% of ticket proceeds to 20 local charities such as Ronald McDonald House of Arkansas, Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas, and the Little Rock Zoo. The BG team and charity volunteers welcomed thousands of shoppers with special VIP discounts and a sneak preview of the center.
In between events, the BG team performed critical “market research” experiencing the local flavor of Little Rock by attending the Downtown River Market, Blue Canoe Brewery, and Little Rock Zoo. Who needs sleep?
